Pumpkin Patch 2012

This past Friday, we bundled up nice and warm and headed to a local pumpkin patch with some friends to pick out our jack-o-lantern pumpkins. I saw that Trader Joe's sells them for $2.99, but where's the fun in that? Especially when there are kids in the house. So off we went to Baggenstos Farm! They have tons of activities for kids alongside a cute little barn that sells every gourd imaginable (along with fruits and other yummy treats). Check out the gourd selection below!

My favorite pic might be the butternut squash. Isn't the lighting pretty? What's your favorite?
One of the first things we did upon arrival was set the kids (Kiel and his buddy, Jacob) loose in the hay maze. They were in heaven to just run all the sillies out! And once through was certainly NOT enough. They went through multiple times, laughing and bumping into each other along the way...

And, obviously, the boys didn't read this sign, so they were all up on those bales of hay. The dad's intervened before anybody got reported...

After a few pics with that cheeky pumpkin fellow above, we packed the eight of us on a wagon out to the pumpkin patch.

We picked out our fav's, brought them back to the store for purchase, snapped a few pics, then got our cold selves back home!

Happy pumpkin season!
